The preparations for making Nobody Needs Poems, conceived by Vladimír Poštulka, began in early 1978. The film was completed in March 1980, after two years of quiet production, and was released under the changed title A-E-I-O-U, which provoked panic and sheer terror among the professors at FAMU. Why? What was the cause?
