A Jester’s Tale is one of Zeman’s less famous films. Although achieving considerable international success, it has not made as strong a mark as Baron Münchhausen or The Deadly Invention. This was perhaps, among other things, due to a clash of concepts, two very different authorial worlds, during the preparation.
