AI & Film: A Brave New Or The Apocalypse?

Hollywood actors and screenwriters recently went on a historic strike over it, the Toronto Film Festival devoted half of its industry programme to it, and Scarlett Johansson is very angry at it. Right now, artificial intelligence is the number one topic in the film industry. What can AI do in film? Where is it, or will it be everywhere? Is there reason to celebrate greater efficiency and untold possibilities, or should we fear the untold consequences?
