This April, Czech Television launched the new TV series The Editors focusing on television news during the normalization period. Five news editors present what their work looked like forty years ago, what challenges they had to face and what was really courageous from today’s perspective. Jakub Hošek and Jakub Adamus, the authors of the series and editors of Czech Television archive, will show the excerpts from the 1980s news coverage, including dark propaganda pieces, open criticism of the ills of late socialism or stories from everyday life.
