Tatami

Tatami is a unique film; the first ever to be jointly made by an Iranian female director and an Israeli director. Together they tell the story of Leila, who is about to compete for the title at the World Judo Championships. Her journey to the top is interrupted by an Iranian government ultimatum: she must stage a defeat or she will be considered a traitor to her country. Will Leila succumb to the oppression, or will she fight until the end to gain her personal freedom?
