2,458 Predators Were Caught in the Net
Playfulness bordering on provocation. Investigative journalism combined with a civic-engagement debate. A peculiar sense of humour. That’s how we usually describe Vít Klusák’s documentary filmmaking. Klusák made his mark with his social experiment Czech Dream (2004) about a non-existent supermarket, co-directed by Filip Remunda. Now it’s the radical documentary Caught in the Net (2020) about online child abuse that earns him significant attention. This one was directed in collaboration with Barbora Chalupová. How can you hunt a hunter? What were the limits beyond which they refused to go? And what does the Czech legislation say about this? All these topics will be covered in the discussion with Vít Klusák and the minister of labour and social affairs, Jana Maláčová, among others.
