Filmové ateliéry Jana Antonína Bati ve Zlíně slaví 90 let / 90 min.
Do you know what happens when the most famous native of Uherské Hradiště decides to make movies? He starts his own film studios, some of the best in Europe. When you have a forward-thinking boss, it’s easy to make world-class films even in a meadow above the city. No, we’re not talking about Hollywood. We’re talking about Zlín. Jan Antonín Baťa, owner of the Baťa company, founded his first-class film studios in Zlín in 1936. State-of-the-art film technology, world-renowned filmmakers, and, of course, their fantastic works. Educational, school, promotional, corporate, tourism, and… What kinds of films were made in Zlín in the 1930s? And what about the boss’s private films? We have them. Just wait and see. We’ll tell you all about it in detail together with Petr Kopčil, director of the J. A. Baťa Foundation.
