Thirteen-year-old Dua is going through what most young girls do. She worries about who will give her the first kiss and waits for her first period. But she is growing up at a time when Kosovo Albanians are the target of Serbs, and surviving the day unscathed is nothing short of a miracle. This sensitive story about the search for inner strength and safety in the midst of war received the prestigious SACD Award at Cannes.
