Expressionist Cinema in Film History

Expressionist Cinema in Film History

90 min.
When we say “German expressionism”, most people probably think of The Cabinet of Dr. Caligary (1920), Nosferatu (1922) or Metropolis (1927). Of course these aren’t the only representatives, but don’t want to enlist them. We want to approach the German expressionism from three different angles: (a) as an ever-changing cinematic movement, (b) one of the movements of the 1920s German cinema, (c) the cinematic tradition that had a huge impact on Hollywood production.
