During the 1960s, Prague’s FAMU gained a reputation as an excellent film school. The films made by its students were receiving awards at international film festivals. The following Normalisation had a tremendous impact on school’s functioning. All departments, as well as the faculty management, were affected by sweeping personnel changes. The discussion will focus on these changes and on the overall situation during this bleak period of time.
