Teresa arrives in a remote village in the Croatian mountains. She claims to be the widow of a local man who emigrated to Chile years ago. Despite the language barrier, she quickly gets close to Milena who, unlike the other residents, accepts her without prejudice. However, inconsistencies begin to emerge in Teresa’s story and suspicion grows among the villagers.
