Good Old Czechs

A joint project of respected documentarist Tomáš Bojar and talented film editor Šimon Špidla follows the lives of two young Czechoslovak airmen, František Fajtl and Filip Jánský. The film is based on artfully edited archival footage, masterfully added sound and personal memories and observations of both pilots. Good Old Czechs is a captivating audiovisual blend of small and big history and a poetic testimony of clouded skies, mundane dailiness of life and total disaster.
