How the Old Hollywood Became a New Hollywood
Jak se ze starého Hollywoodu stal Nový Hollywood / 90 min.
Old Hollywood ran from the 1920s until the 1960s, that is more than four decades. During this golden age of Hollywood, thousands of films were made in compliance with strict production rules. Films learned to talk, acquired different colours, changed formats several times, but their main purpose remained the same: to entertain the audience and help them forget their everyday worries. However, during the 1960s, the cup runneth over and a radical cut was made. The change had been coming for some time, but it was still too fast for most filmmakers and producers. The audience started to look for different types of entertainment, and those who were loyal to cinema showed that their priorities had changed.
