Kohlhiesel’s Daughters (Music: LilaTesla & Orinoko)

Kohlhiesel’s Daughters is one of Lubitsch’s two rural farces from 1920, in which he moves away from urban settings and satirical comedy into the Bavarian mountains – with the excellent Henny Porten in the title double role and Emil Jannings as the perhaps charismatic, though hardly likable, suitor of both sisters.
