Masterclass with Davide Rappa

Rappa’s masterclass will showcase his unique approach, which straddles the boundaries of film, architecture, and video art – an approach he himself describes as “the architecture of found footage”. Rappa has long worked with found video footage, which he transforms into multilayered films and structures, with architecture serving not only as a theme but also as a method of editing and reflection. We will explore how his multimedia works are created – from working with archival footage through its reworking to the final film essays and immersive installations. The main focus will be on the relationship between space, image, and memory, and on how architecture can be perceived through film editing.
