New Order

Michel Franco / Mexico, France 2020 / 86 min. / 15 years / DCP
In the luxurious Mexican neighbourhood, seemingly well protected from the eyes of the poor, disturbing signs of gradually escalating violence are spreading. The colour of the revolution is not red, but green. In the controversial dystopian parable, Michel Franco portrays Mexico as a bubbling cauldron of social tension, threatening with a bloody explosion at any moment.
