Parvis’s parents come from Iran. He himself was born in a small German town where he spends much of his time going to rave parties and having sex with men from an online dating app. Although he considers himself German, people often remind him that he doesn’t fit in there. His life changes dramatically after he is sentenced to work at a refugee centre for petty thefts.
