High in the mountains stands an isolated girls’ school tasked with educating Rwanda’s new elite. A white mother superior and the statue of the Virgin Mary oversee the strictly Catholic education. And while the students experience their first loves and trials of adolescence, the seeds of a tragic future between the Hutus and Tutsis are taking root.
