According to tradition, Charles always holds a pig slaughter in the winter, where all his neighbours and family gather. This year, he’s not really keen on doing it. He’s worried that something will go wrong. And he’s right. Adam Martinec’s promising debut feature film portrays a contemporary Czech village as a place that is barely affected by the changing world.
