A forbidden love story of Kena and Ziki, daughters of two political opponents, who
develop a relationship deeper than permitted by Kenyan laws. In a conservative
environment, a battle of tradition and modernity begins. Will their love win through, or
will they choose safety instead? Rafiki was the first Kenyan entry at the Cannes Film
Festival.
