Rashomon

Three men gather in the rain at the Rasho Gate to recall a recent trial of robber Tajomaru who murdered a samurai and raped his wife. The main theme of the film relates to the relativization of truth, four testimonies (a robber, a dead samurai through the medium, his wife, and a lumberjack) tell the court conflicting and equivalent variants of one event.
