Spirits of the Dead

Histoires extraordinaires / (I) Roger Vadim, (II) Louis Malle, (III) Federico Fellini / France, Italy 1968 / 121 min. / DCP
The adaptations of three short stories by E. A. Poe carry the unique filmmaking styles of Roger Vadim, Louis Malle and Federico Fellini. The surreal episode of the latter one depicts the story of a dishevelled English actor who is supposed to be making a film in Rome, but is approached by the Devil in the form of a girl with a white balloon.
