Tales of the Night

With Tales of the Night, director Michel Ocelot follows up on his earlier fairy-tale series that was rounded off by Princes and Princesses. Every night, a girl, a boy, and an old technician meet in an abandoned movie theatre to give free rein to their imagination. The six romantic and adventurous fairy tales they create convey powerful social messages and are characterized by subversive humour that challenges (not only) the stereotypes of the genre.
