The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp
Michael Powell, Emeric Pressburger / United Kingdom 1943 / 164 min. / DCP

After two war propaganda movies, the filmmaking duo surprised with a satirically
patriotic look at the British army. The Technicolor drama about a quixotic officer who
places professional honour above everything else was so irritating for Winston Churchill
that he tried to have it banned.
