The Star Called Wormwood

The Star Called Wormwood

Martin Frič / Czechoslovakia 1964 / 84 min. / HD file
One of the last films of the legendary Martin Frič is based on a true story from the end of the First World War. Despite the forced ideological tinge, The Star Called Wormwood remains an impressive war film, thanks in part to the performance of Jiřina Bohdalová. Frič entrusted her with one of the few serious character roles of her entire career.
