The Well: Two Versions of One Tragedy

The horrible tragedy that took place in 1968 in a small village near Prague has been adapted twice for television – in 1978 in the propaganda series 30 Cases of Major Zeman and 50 years later in the miniseries The Well. Media historians PhDr. Petr Bednařík, Ph.D. (FSV UK) and MgA. Daniel Růžička, Ph.D. (Czech Television) will reveal two worlds in their lecture – one full of political undertones and the other full of human despair and misunderstanding.
