A separate festival section dedicated to student films, curated by SFS programmers, will present the best works by students of the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava. How to Listen to Fountains is an experimental documentary about public space that won the Best Short Film Award at this year’s Sun in a Net festival. The short film I Want to Tell You Something reflects on the situation of the LGBT community following the shooting of two gay men in Bratislava. The imaginative story of a hotel doorman, 315 and Me, offers a glimpse into the secrets and dreams of which we are or are not part of. The provocative film This Room is Impossible to Eat tells a story of psychological manipulation and dangerous sexual games between twelve-year-old Tereza and her fifty-year-old teacher. And the half-hour film Unknown Place offers an intimate look into the life of a teenage girl who is away from her parents for the first time and is drawn into a fragile web of love, betrayal, and manipulation.
