FAMU History: Contemporary female filmmakers (kinolektorát)

Female directors have long represented FAMU, the oldest Czech film school, at international festivals and film events. Women have studied filmmaking at FAMU since its founding, but it wasn’t until the new millennium that the media recognized the high concentration of distinctive female authors who excel in documentary, feature, and animation filmmaking.
