A plucky and determined Englishwoman travels to the remote Scottish island in order to
marry a wealthy industrialist. But her journey is hampered by unforeseen weather
conditions and a virile navy officer. In an unusual way, the story combines romance,
suspense, Scottish folklore and ancient curses.
