The second collaboration between Ester Krumbachová and Jan Němec was a direct follow-up to the internationally acclaimed film Diamonds of the Night. Jan Němec selected the short story Trip from Ester Krumbachová’s archive. Jan Procházka reportedly put it into production almost immediately. The film premiered almost three years later and, as Krubmachová said, it broke her back.
