A successful car salesman falls in love with his secretary, Colette, who pales in comparison to his wife. The lead role in this unconventional romance about the power of physical appearance is played by Blier’s favourite actor, Gérard Depardieu, but this time, it’s the camerawork, editing, and Schubert’s music that steal the show.
